Seasonal Photosynthesis Variations of Dominant Tree Species Used in Different Urban Landscapes

چکیده
Photosynthesis is the only natural process that converts photon energy into chemical energy, and it responsible for 90–95% of plant biomass accumulation hence growth. Environmental factors such as light, temperature, CO2 concentration in atmosphere are major influence photosynthesis, excess these can cause stress on plants. The photosynthetic response tree species found to vary factors. Therefore, be a good indicator assess environmental changing due urbanization used mitigate well by cultivating suitable species. present study provides information seasonal variations activity six In during month May (late summer early monsoon) most showed higher rates. It also noticed transpiration rate water use efficiency was more compared other months. An increase net photosynthesis observed among under high rainfall conditions 285.2 mm. decreased where evaporative demand very high.

Factors Influencing Non-Native Tree Species Distribution in Urban Landscapes
Non-native species are presumed to be pervasive across the urban landscape. Yet, we actually know very little about their actual distribution. For this study, vegetation plot data from Syracuse, NY and Baltimore, MD were used to examine non-native tree species distribution in urban landscapes. Data were collected from remnant and emergent forest patches on upland sites and riparian habitats. No...
متن کاملSeasonal Variations in Tannin Profile of Tree Leaves
Forest tree leaves (12 different species) of semi hilly arid region of Punjab State were collected at 30-day interval throughout the year to assess the seasonal variations in tannin profile. Tannins were extracted and fractionated from fat free samples and data were analyzed statistically by 12×12 factorial design. The leaves of Anogeissus latifolia had the highest (p<0.05) concentration of tot...

1. Children aged 6-35 months in an urban community in The Gambia, West Africa, were weighed and their lengths measured at four surveys over an 18-month period, twice towards the end of the rains, and twice during the dry season. 2. Relative to international standards, height-for-age deteriorated steadily with age, while weight-for-age fell sharply in the second-half of infancy but showed no fur...
متن کاملStress Response of Dominant Forest Tree Species South of the Caspian Sea in Relation to Soil from Coast to Upland
Distribution and growth of plant species is affected by many factors including abiotic (topography, altitude and soil) and biotic (root symbiosis) factors. In light of global warming, recent findings advocate microhabitats and micro-conditions of the root zone and canopy ambiance as determining factors in sustaining of plant populations. Although, occurrence of ectomycorrhizal (ECM) and non...
متن کاملSeasonal variations of serum copper concentration in Raeini cashmere goats
The aim of this study is to determine the serum copper (Cu) concentration found in Iranian Raeini cashmere goats in different seasonal and climatic conditions. Twenty four male (6 to 18 months old) and 48 female (6 to 18 and 18 to 30 months old) Raeini goats were selected from the station, rural, and nomadic flocks. The average Cu concentrations among the male and female goats were 0.5 ± 0.04 a...
